What do you girls/guys use?!

Question: What do you girls/guys use?
I've started to have sex with my bf for the first time recently, and we've only been using condoms. I know they aren't 100% effective but I really do not want to go on BC.... My Q is, what do you guys use for protection? Are there any safer forms of BC out there?? And also, I'm not even sure how to bring it up to my mom either... I'm going to be 19 soon but I don't even know where to start lol. Thnx,

Answers:

Well, I conceived my youngest, my daughter while taking birth control regularly, so that's not 100% either, actually nothing's 100% honestly. There are different forms of birth control other than pills, there's the ring and I think you only have to put that in once a cycle, and the patch if it's still on the market is once a week. You might want to consider the shot as that lasts up to 3 months, but most dr's say to have it every 10-11 weeks to be sure. My sister was on that for a while.

...your mom will find out cause you'll behave differently : )
condoms are pretty safe but he must know if it "breaks" while inside of you...use lubricant and change condom from time to time if it is a long, rough session.
or you could opt for the safest of all birth controls, anal & oral sex.

It is a good idea to go to a Family Planning Clinic and get all the options and find which is the best for you personally, everyone is different. Commonest option chosen is the combined pill. It is 99.8% effective, but you need to be aware of the downside as well.

GP for more years than I care to remember

You can try spermicide with a female condom or a diaphragm.

I had 7 pregnancies in 10 yrs....got on the pill and stayed on it for 14 yrs...NO pregnancies. Was on antibiotics some of that 14 yrs also. Never missed a pill.

you should go to doctor immediately.
