I need birth control help!?!

Question: I need birth control help!?
I just finished my first month of birth control(pills) I was on the depo shot for almost a year and never had my period. But I stopped it(for a month or two) And I was supposed to start my period on the peach colored pills but I never did. I counted 28 days from my last period and my cycle wasn't going to start while I was taking the peach pills. Also If the pills work so good not to get pregnate than why do you Have to take them everyday? Someone please help.. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't worry for now. It's likely your body is adjusting to the hormone changes.

The pills do work, but the reason you need to take them every day is that your body is also working 24/7/365 to make you fertile. So you need to keep that from happening 24/7/365. There are things you could take less often than daily, but there is a down side to that--it could involve more physical risks, more hormone exposure, worse side effects. But taking it every day is a more efficient way of doing this with minimal hormonal changes.

you might be pregnant if you had sex while you stopped taking them and if you did during the first two weeks because when you start taking them at the beginning they are all low doses and they increase in your body as you take them. All the pills do is make your body think it is pregnant so it slows down your eggs being released. Your period will not be during the peach pill period right away because you quit taking them but over the next few months if you continue then it will. I would go to the doctor or buy a pregnancy test before continuing taking them though and the birth control pills will not effect the pregnancy test. Good luck

wow, girls are starting on birth control so much earlier now. I'm 29 and didn't start til I was 19, just before I met my husband. I'm surprised your dr approved depo for you at such a young age as it does stop periods for most users.
Depo is still in your system, it can take a year or more sometimes for you to get regular periods. Nothing works perfectly. I've been pregnant while taking birth control, hell even got pregnant the last time after my hubby had a vasectomy over 6 months before, and no I wasn't unfaithful.

It's unlikely that you are pregnant, but if you are concerned you can always take a pregnancy test.

I don't know why we have to take them every day- just that the hormone starts to leave your body in a day.

It doesn't sound like anythings wrong, depo can mess with things a little. Give it a couple extra months.

If you're worried about pregnancy take a test, and don't drink alcohol until you know for sure.
