Period question!!!!! Can i take a shower?!

Take a shower. You wont notice the menses at all. It will just mix with the shower water. If you have a hand held shower head those are good at dislodging clots and uterine lining from creases. I don't like baths at anytime. I don't like "swimming" in my dirt.

I've had people tell me that you stop menstruating when you go swimming or get wet. I have not found this to be the case.

Have your shower as you would normally, clean your outer feminine parts with a slightly acidic soap (as the vagina is acidic) to remove any blood, and have a fresh pad or tampon ready for you as soon as you step out.

As a word of caution, I would suggest against a white towel, just in case.

If you are sitting or laying down and suddenly stand up quickly, this can cause more menstruation blood to flow. Which is why a trip to the bathroom immediately after you wake up is sometimes prudent planning.

Other than that, pick up one of those Diva Cups. You can take it out and give it a rinse in the shower, wash yourself, and reinsert it before leaving the shower, avoiding any mess. Plus, they don't introduce bleaches into your body, and are worn like a tampon (a bit tricky at first, but you figure it out), so you don't have a pad to worry about. Not the mention you can re-use them. (But then, I have one now, and think it is awesome-sauce.) Now, no mess!

I don't even care if i get reported for this one... You are a moron. That is the dumbest question I have ever heard. Why would a SHOWER have any effect on your period. Seriously, didn't your mother ever teach you about your body? But even if she didn't, that should just be common sense.

What are u talking about??? lol..any who your period wont stop,lighten up,or get heavier if you take a shower! truth is the only outcome of taking a shower on your period is that you wont be as fresh as your would if you were to sit down in a nice hot bath!

Is this your first period,if so didn't your mom give you the run down if not,take your a** in the shower !
