well it can be a lot of things, the most sure way to know is by you going to the doctor and getting some blood work done. it could be that you have a thyroid problem which has been the reason why it was irregular, and now might be causing you to stop having it all together. The sooner you get this checked at the better it is for you.

could be many things, you don't say how old you are but if you are still a teen it is normal for periods to be abnormal. Stress or low caloric intake can also cause this. Just to be safe consult a gyn. Maybe birth control or other hormonal treatments are neccessary to regulate your period.
