Question: Will the birth control pill Beyaz cause any weight gain?
My dermatologist recommended that I start taking Beyaz to help clear my skin. However, I made it very clear to her that I did not want to gain any weight. I eat very healthy and try to exercise at least a few times a week. I'm in college and don't have much more time to go to the gym so if gaining weight is a possibility, I will probably stop taking the pill. Advice please! Thanks :)

Beyaz, like other birth control pills, can cause weight gain. It's one of the possible side effects. But that doesn't necessarily mean that you will gain weight on it, that's impossible to predict. It's also not 100% guaranteed that it will help your skin, either.

So then, you just have to try it and see. And as you say, stop if the disadvantages outweigh the benefit.

Aren't you a bit old for pubescent acne? I am not sure what age "college" means where you are. Has your doc looked into other possible causes such as PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome)? PCOS also causes weight gain, and I noted your sensitivity to that.
