You probably just have a short menstrual cycle. When a woman ovulates, an egg ripens to be fertilized. When it doesn't fertilize, it dies and the lining of your uterus sheds and that's what your period is. If you have short cycles, then this might happen twice per month. It's nothing to be worried about, every woman's cycle is different and I don't think there is anything wrong with you. Don't bother with birth control to "fix" it because there's nothing wrong with it. Doctors are just sitting on the edge of their chairs, WAITING to shove any medication they can down your throat. The fact that they can't find a single thing wrong with you, YET they're giving you serious pills, is evidence if this.

It is probably beneficial for you to be on birth control pills- you can try different ones/ doses to find which one you are able to tolerate. Also, they might make you very sick in the beginning, but your body gets used to it in a week or two. Try birth control again- take it on a full stomach at night a few hours before bed. The doctor may also prescribe you an anti-emetic (a drug that prevents you from throwing up) to help with the nausea/vomiting. I hope this helps!

I know my period is just extremely heavy and sometimes i will get it 2 times a month. (at the beggining and at very end) but i think its still 20/28 days in beetween so maybe thats just how you are.
Either way, drink lots of liquids to recover from a big blood loss.
it's normal I used to get two periods, my cycle was like that for 2 to 3 years.I started getting it when I was 12 and I didn't stop getting it twice a month until I was almost 15. So give it time and it will regulate.
