i am really confused about my bra size?!

Question: I am really confused about my bra size?
i asked a question about my bra size previously, with measurements included and i got a whole parade of answers.

i went in to VS to get fitted and they said i was a 32B. great. so i tried on some of their 32B bras and the cups were like all the bras that i've ever worn before...restraining, uncomfortable, bleah

i went to marshalls today and looked around the intimates section. i tried on a 30DD as a joke. it was the most perfect bra in the world.

what size am i, really? the pros at VS said 32B, but 30DD fits.

VS will sell you what they have in stock even if its not your size. They want to make the sale. VS dont have a wide variety of sizes. A store with a wide variety of sizes will have bands that start at a 28 and have cups that go up to a K(U.K).

If 30DD felt like the most comfortable bra in the world, then it is your size. Forget what VS said.

A well fitting bra will have a snug band. The band is suppose to be snug not loose. It should be parallel to the ground. Most girls wear a band too large. Your breasts should be enclosed in the cups with no gaps or bulges.

Remember when buying a bra, you must try on as you will be a different size in different styles and brands. Our size isnt set in stone.

Good luck

The people in VS aren't pros: they tend to have no idea about how to properly measure someone for a bra and then just shove you in whatever size they, regardless of whether or not it fits. Since the 30DD fits, that's your size; however, that doesn't mean you'll be a 30DD in every bra you try on. Your measured size is only supposed to give you an idea of where to start when trying on bras because bra sizing varies by style and brand.

Did you get measured at marshall's? Wear the bra you feel most comfortable in, but best thing would be to go and get measured in a few different places and try on a selection of bras to see what feels best. Just so you know though, different bra manufacturers often have different sizing systems, so chances are you won't be the same in every store you go to.

You wear the size that fits correctly and VS are hardly 'pros' anyway.

30DD may sound huge on paper but it's pretty average size for the most part, equivilent to a 34C cup but on a smaller band size. And it turns out that 80% of women are in the wrong bra size, typcally too big on the band which skews the cup size. So many women in a 34C or 36B should actually be in a 30DD or 32D. Are their breasts actually any bigger? No of course not, but they will get a one heck of a better fitting bra!

Use 30DD, because it seems to comfortable to you.
