Question: Spotting, itchy after sex, what is going on?
I haven't been sexually active for very long, but every time my partner and I have had intercourse there have been problems for me. Last time we had sex was last Saturday night, and after that I endured pain and I had to pee frequently but it hurt everytime I did. I also started spotting, probably due to the UTI, but after that I got my period, so I wasn't sure as to what the blood could be. But I recently finished my period and every single night I have had this dry, burning itch down there and there has been a bit of blood in my underwear well. I'm 17 and I have no idea what this could be, but it's scaring the hell out of me - we've used protection every time! Could anybody explain?
Answers:
Could be as simple as a yeast infection or as major as a sexually transmitted disease.
Stop having sex until you have been properly diagnosed and treated by a doctor. Your family doctor or a Gynecologist are the best options.
Also, you should start getting annual well woman exams since you are sexually active.
