what could be the cause of irregular cycles?!


Question: What could be the cause of irregular cycles?
Ive had an irregular cycle since ive come off the pill over a year ago, my cycle lenght is between 32-42 days. Ive had some blood tests done and everything came back normal... I was just wondering is/has anyone had the same problem and if so then what was the the problem? and how was it solved? Thanks

Hi, I never had a clue when I was getting a period, for years I was between 30 and 50 days. Same as you had all the tests, nothing..
They actually told me when I had a baby it would regulate itself..!
These are a few things that could account for it,

Significant weight gain or loss
Over-exercise
Poor nutrition (or a diet too high in carbohydrates)
Smoking
Drug use
Caffeine
Excessive alcohol use (interfering with how the liver metabolizes estrogen and progesterone)
Eating disorders
Increased stress
Polycystic ovarian syndrome/estrogen dominance
Uterine abnormalities (fibroids/cysts/polyps/endometriosis)
Hormonal imbalance related to perimenopause
Medications
Chemotherapy
Recent childbirth, miscarriage, or D&C
Breastfeeding
