your probobly towards the end of your period, or just not angling it right. use light tampons, or try to moisten the area down there

Is it in all the way? Does it go in easily? Some girls have difficulty at first..it may depend on what kind of applicator you're using that may not be getting it as deep into you vagina as it should, or maybe you're nervous and that's making it more difficult to get it up there. If you have never had sex before that opening may still be small enough that it hurts a little, if that's the case keep at it, it will get better. The playtex tampon that the above writer mentions is almost painless if you're not using it..but consider one more thing..did you remember to remove the applicator after putting the tampon in. Some girls in the beginning don't understand this.

try playtex, they are made out of plastic which goes in softly and doesnt hurt.... after you insert the plastic you can push the skinny tube in (which pushes the tampon all the way inside as is supposed to...
dont be afraid, you can do it!!

try junior, slim or slender tampons
also try KY or astroglide as a lubricant, no vasoline

If you have trouble putting a tampon in, you should visit your ob gyn (gynecologist)

use lube or suck on it first, then put it in lol
