Question: I believe something is wrong with my private area.?
My vagina, randomly becomes red, swollen and itchy. I haven't had intercourse in 9 months, nor did I masturbate in a long while, can someone answer what's going on with my body; usually these symptoms occur right before I go to bed, or when I'm laying down, and I'm NOT pregnant.

but if it is itcy could it be your soap try getting a new brand and see ifthat helps
Well, do some research on STD's, some can show up much later. But your best bet is to make an appointment with your gynecologist. Don't mess with the health of you reproductive system. Especially if you plan on having a child some day. GOOD LUCK
