Perfectly normal, someone you don't really now is going to be examining your private parts. I luckily have avoided that pleasure, although im due as im 18 now and can't use the virgin excuse anymore. Drink some tea or something before, calming music, it may be your first time, but the Doc. has done it thousands, and is only concerned for your health and well being.

Its not stupid at all!! Im sure more than half of us are when we get our first pap! My doctor was very sweet and knew I was nervous and she helped me through the whole thing! She told me everything she was doing while she was doing it and was telling me if i would feel any discomfort, which I didnt really. The only discomfort you migghttt feel is like a little tiny pinch inside, kinda feels like cramp. But nothing that really hurts. Its not too bad, promise :)

Calm down there is absolutely nothing to it. YOu will feel no pain, just a different feeling. And it will be over very fast. Not a big deal.

You shouldn't be scared. It doesn't hurt and is a good thing to have done.
