Anybody take Birth Control pills? Or have taken them....?!


Question: Anybody take Birth Control pills? Or have taken them....?
Do you think they really make you gain weight...?
And if it does how long does that side effect last..\?
And what kind do you or did you take?and what does?

I take a light dose of Lunessa i think its called (cant spell) and i just wanna know if theres any relation to that and the fact that i cant eat anything i want anymore like beofre i took them, and why i have a bigger apeetite..... Ive been taking them for 4 years now i think...

Yes, they CAN make you gain weight. It depends entirely on the pill and how you react to it. Sometimes they can make you lose weight, or just make your cupsize grow, or add a little bit of fat to your belly. All normal.
I believe that side effect lasts as long as you're on that particular pill. If you're not happy with it, you can always switch.
I was on Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo and... one other. Only for three months total. I took them initially to help clear up some acne, reduce menstrual cramping, and regulate my period. I didn't see any results, so I quit.
Birth control tricks your body into thinking it's pregnant, so those side effects are understandable. Weight retention- fat AND waterweight- are not unexpected.
I also seem to recall a bigger appetite while on the pill. I suppose it's just an effect similar to pregnancy. I also experienced some nausea.
