Question: Is it normal for your period to come every 3 months?
I'm a virgin and had my period for five years now. it always comes every 2-3 months, is that ok? is it normal?

yes it is normal if you are between 9 - 16 years



As long as you DO have your period every 3 months that's just fine! Every woman is different. If your periods are normal when they do come, then there should be no reason to worry - it's just how your body works. If you're extremely active/thin then you'll tend to have periods less frequently.

However, if you go any longer than 3 months without one than you're at an increased risk of cervical cancer and need to talk to your doctor.



Well, I'm on birth control that makes it so you get it only every three months...so that's normal for me right now.

But if you're not on birth control, it simply either could or couldn't be normal. Because what will be normal for one girl can be the complete opposite for a normal girl. So maybe it's normal for you? You can always check with a doctor to make sure nothing is wrong and is causing that.



No..you should get it monthly. Although, some women's cycles vary from 24-39 days; 2-3 months is too long. You should go to the doc as you might have a hormonal imbalance that's causing your periods to be irregular.
