Effective ways of getting rid of period pains?!

Question: Effective ways of getting rid of period pains?
Title says it all, I'm dying here.

Answers:

i understand the pain you're going through, it's a big part of any women's life that unfortunately will not go away but we can do things to help
1) get a hot water bottle or warm towel and place this at your lower abdomen, this will warm the surrounding muscles of your uterus and help them move more freely without restraint causing you less pain.
2) take two 500mg paracetamol every 4 hours. This is a pain relief medicine and there are loads of products that claim to help period pain but the active ingredient in them is paracetamol.
3) Try to keep your mind off it, the more you focus on it the more your brain will pay attention to it, increasing pain signals. Try watching telly, surfing the internet or something to keep your mind off it.
4) Chocolate and bananas have been said to help but medication is the only real way to help
5) sometimes keeping yourself moving is a good thing, go for a walk or something but i tend to find curling up on the sofa with a blanket and hot water bottle is best.

Hope this helped.... hope you feel better! :) x x

You could always try the standard stuff, pain relievers, Midol and those types of medicines. Also, soaking in a warm tub helps or some sort of heating pad. I've also found that masturbating/having an orgasm actually helps with cramps too (it also releases hormones called "endorphins" that are supposed to help with pain too). Besides, even if it doesn't work for very long, you'll feel a little better, LOL.

experience

pain killers (ibuprofen and paracetamol), hot water bottle, hot bath, sleep if you can, chamomile tea(?) keeping hydrated, light excersize (although probably the last thing you want to do, but it will make you feel better) and if you google 'yoga for period pains' there should be some tips and videos to watch that can help.

good luck, i have real trouble with them too.

supposedly eating potassium (like a banana) helps. a warm pack always helps me. you van always take a pain reliever if it's too severe. you might want to het checked and see if you have some disorder, or maybe have somethimh prescribed if it's that bad

Try to swollow your mans load. Works for me every time =P
