why is it my period blood is like syrup? is that normal?!

Question: Why is it my period blood is like syrup? is that normal?
i recently had sex and yesterday after i started spotting i took it as no big deal, last night i slept over at his house and i sorta stopped bleeding. this morning i woke t find feelin weird so i went to the bathroom only to find i had indeed started my period but it wasnt like anything i experienced before it was like syrup and was dripping when i went to go sit down.. i woke him up and told him i had to leave .. i get to my place and asked my mom what it could be she said it could be my body getting used to his sperm .. but someone else told me it could be a miscarriage which i highly disbelieve only because he did *** inside me but i started my period the day after so if someone could give me an honest answer id be deeply helpful :)

It isn't really blood we shed; it's the lining of the womb, so our periods can look all kinds of weird, gloopy, lumpy, thick etc. It's not a miscarriage and your body getting used to his sperm?? Don't even know what that means! Just sounds like a normal period to me ;)
