Shooting pain in breast?!

Question: Shooting pain in breast?
It is very sore, every couple of minutes it is dull yet sharp, pain shooting downwards towards my nipple. I'm 17 and I am on the implant to control my periods, I haven't had my periods since September and I got the implant in in June. I eat well, I don't eat a lot of crap and I used to smoke regularly but I have recently quit. Any ideas? There are no lumps or anything, and my boobs are sore to touch. Only started happening recently.

Answers:

I am 32 and just experienced something like this a few months ago, more with the shooting pain. Although I am not on any birth control, my breasts get tender around that time of the month. It may be just the hormone level in your body still adjusting to the implant. Just keep an eye on it-my shooting pains finally went away within a few days.
