Can frequent [self-induced] vomiting be harmful to someone's health?!

Question: Can frequent [self-induced] vomiting be harmful to someone's health?
Besides damaged teeth and swelled tonsils, is this physically bad?

Answers:

Extremely bad.
Aside from problems this causes in terms of proper nutrition, the continual rush of stomach acid can erode your esophagus, causing ulcers and eventually esophageal cancer.

Any activity that makes you lose body fluids/ ions unnaturally,

including self-induced vomiting, is not healthy.

And it appears you've done your assignment, knowing it chips

away the enamel gradually and irritates the throat. Prolonged

inducing of which may lead to increased chances for oesophageal cancer.

Good luck.

Gross...

My Psy 205 teacher told us about a college where they had to replace all the plumbing in the sorority houses b/c so many of them had made themselves throw up it ate away at the pipes.

Imagine what it does to your throat. It ruins your teeth. It makes your face look chubby. And usually bulimics stay at their same weight and not lose a whole lot anyways...

yes, very. bulima [which it sounds like, how you explained it] can cause: Stomach problems,Heart problems,Kidney problems,Dental problems (from throwing up stomach acid),Dehydration (not enough water in the body)

yes, it can cause many sever problems, it can cause ulcerations and tears in your esophagus, that will cause GI bleeding. It can cause electrolyte imbalances that can in turn cause irregular heart beat, and even cardiac arrest.

I am a RN, BSN

Eventually, it can kill you.

Lol um yes!

YES IT IS YOU IDIOT! look up the side effects online and ask your doctor as well about the harms to your health.
