Does having mono cause your period to be late?!

Question: Does having mono cause your period to be late?
So I have been sick since January 23rd with mono, so roughly a month. I missed a week of school and have been trying to take it easy. I usually get my period on the 17th of the month and I have not gotten it yet. I have never had sex so there is no way I am pregnant. Could being sick for a long period of time cause my period to be late?

Answers:

Being sick or stressed can delay your period or cause it to begin earlier.
