I'm 14 and I have what I believe to be growing pains?!

Question: I'm 14 and I have what I believe to be growing pains?
I got my period when I was 11 in september(birthday is december 1st). So my thyriod doctor(unnrelated) said I stopped growing. This week(I'm on my 3rd day) of the cabbage soup diet. So now my feet and ankles hurt a little and it feels like growing pains. So is it growing pains? How much am I to grow? and is the diet affecting anything.

I am 5'3
And teh cabage soup diet is where you eat soup for a whole week along with a particular food.
day1-soup and fruit
day2-soup and vegies
day3-soup and fruit and veggies
__________________________
day4-bannanas and milk & soup
day5-steak and tomatoes & soup

day6-steak and veggies & soup
day7- brown rice & soup

so is the diet bad?
is this normal?
how much will I grow?
am i growing?

Answers:

This may have anything to do with the pain in your feet as the pains there could be anything from walking too far to simply stepping wrong. However, since you are 14, you should not be on a diet at all. You actually need a crap load of food to grow, and not getting enough will stop you from growing. While this crap load of food should be healthy food, you cannot limit yourself to only certain foods because you will be depleting your growing body of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients it needs to grow. So, stop dieting. And no one can predict how tall you will be but you will continue to grow until you are 16. Also, there is no scientific evidence that growing pains exist.
