Olive oil for skin...?!

Question: Olive oil for skin...?
I've heard some people saying they use olive oil for skin, because it's a good moisturiser (Olive oil on, wash off and cleanse skin), on their faces obviously. I'm abit scared to put oil on my face...does it work for anyone who's tried it?

Answers:

The Egyptians (imagine the legendary Cleopatra), Greeks, Phoenicians, and Romans all used olive oil on their skin

Olive Oil Skin Care

* Promote a smooth, radiant complexion
* Help maintain elasticity of skin
* Heal dry, brittle nails and soften cuticles

it also conditions and add shine to hair

i have used it

If you have dry skin, you shouldn't be tanning in the first place (didn't say you do).
Using hot water can dry the skin and taking long baths, that's like having 'dish-pan' hands in the making!

Exfoliate with a washcloth, use bath & body wash, quick showers, less sun. If you program yourself to take care of your skin, you'll need less moisturizing in the future.

Don't use oil on your face! That's why someone invented moisturizer meant for the skin. You get more benefits having a salad made of olive oil. Eat lots of olives!

I haven't tried it but I would've thought if you put it on your face it would clog up the pores and make you break out? I think it's better as a hand moisturiser

Coconut oil is the best for skin. You should try that instead. Olive oil is too dense.

Squalane (from olives) or Jojoba Oil is better for the skin.
