Question: Did I just have my period?help plz!?

Ok so I felt like uhm squishy stuff eww :/ and I wiped and there was brown err goo lookin stuff .. I wiped it and left and I came back and wiped and it was there again.. Its like not too much.. Medium . Im 12 and I dont wanna tell my mom unless im for sure plz help D: !? Is 12 even a normal age also idk what a pad looks like or anything .. Idk how to use it my mom gets home at midnight . Im home with my dad and my older sister but she has guy friends over im scRed plz help

Okay, just relax(: It is probably your period. Usually at first it's brown or a darker red. I would suggest either telling your older sister (it depends on the relationship you guys have) or just going into the bathroom and searching your drawers until you find the good ol' box of pads. Just put one on. I would advise you not to use tampons at the moment. And, if your really scared, just call your mom and talk to her on the phone(: Also, 9-16 is the age's girls usually get their periods so your fine. Hope I helped(:

congratulations its your period!! period blood can be red/pink/brown, I get brown period blood all the time!! 12 is a perfectly good age to start your period, and why don't you ask your sister to step out of her room and ask if she has a pad you can borrow, or text her if you have a phone!! No need to be scared its perfectly normal!
