how to convince my mom to let me use tampons?!

Why won't she. I think pads are horrible. They are not sanitary to me, and I've seen girls have more accidents in them. If this has happened to you, explain that to her. Tampons are soooo much better. Are more comfortable to use. With you being in the 8th grade, and playing sports, she should definately consider letting you use them.

What reasons does your mother have for not allowing you to use tampons? That would be helpful to answer your question. Honestly you need to tell her that you are responsible with them and change them when necessary. Also remind her that it is a lot more comfortable to play sports with them. and maybe if shes concerned print out an article that explains that it is very safe to use them. i started in 7th (8th now) and i talked to my mom and said i would use half half
night time=pads
heavy flow=pads
normal/day time=tampons
i would take them out every 3 or 4 hours to reduce the risk of tts

Just explain to her that you are mature and have good reason to use them. Plus they are much more sanitary and she doesnt want you getting infections now does she?

Dont use the tampons at night.. But explain to her..
