Unprotected sex? I'm on birth control pills?!

Question: Unprotected sex? I'm on birth control pills?
Pre-Face: Me and my boyfriend have both been tested for STDs so no commenting on that, that's not the answer I'm looking for. Thanks!

I'm in the third week of my 5th month on Zarah (generic brand of Yasmin), and would like to have sex with my boyfriend without a condom (which always used condoms). **Extra** -i take my pills the same time everyday and never missed one-

It would be alright if he finished inside of me without a condom, right? I just need reassurance that it's okay to not use a condom and let him finish inside of me while i'm on birth control ('cause that's what its for after all). I'm just paranoid, but would like to try it. Thanks in advance!

Answers:

I'm on the pill and my gyno told me that by taking my birth control at the same time and consistently is better protection than a condom alone. Of course both together are the best. I personally don't use condoms anymore, at first both my bf and I were worried but we both take responsibility. He trusts that I take my pill everyday and I trust him that he is faithful.

You are right. Birth control is in fact...birth control.

Just be aware some things lower the effectiveness of the pill, such as antibiotics. Just use a condom during these times.

You will be fine. The pill is more effective at preventing pregnancy than condoms (when taken properly). As long as you continue taking your pill at the same time everyday and don't miss any you will be fine. I have been using the pill as my sole source of birth control for 4 years now, my partner always finishes in me and I have never been pregnant or had any other problems.

I don't know, ask all those mothers that got pregnant on the pill if it worked for them? My guess since they popped out a kid that wasn't expected is that no you will not be 100% protected. Just keep the condom on him so you know that you are more protected.

Since you are on the pill you should be fine. There is however that 0.2% chance that no one worries about. You shouldnt be scared because theres more chance of a car coming through your house. Go for it.

Absolutely! unless it's a monogamous relationship, in which condoms aren't really that important!

girlology!

Don't be silly wrap your willy

Sweetheart, this may not be the answer you're wanting but ABSOLUTELY NOT!! First of all, I commend you for always using condoms (great job), but CONTINUE to do so. If he really cares about you, he won't mind. Secondly, birth control pills are NOT 100%. Maybe close, but not 100. I have a best friend, and a sister who BOTH got pregnant on them. Thirdly, (and you will find this out for yourself), men (and some women) cannot always be trusted. He could be having sex with someone else. Especially if you guys are young. Men seem to think with there penis and not their heart/mind. So do yourself a favor, and continue using condoms to protect yourself from pregnancy AND diseases. Again, I know this isn't what you wanted to hear but you'll understand why I said this later. Every woman has learned this lesson. :-)
