Does anyone here think it's embarassing to...?!

I do believe it is completely awkward if its your first time buying, but you have to also see that the people wouldn't be working at the stores if they didn't expect people to buy dildos or sex toys. So don't worry about it. I am sure the last thing they are worried about is what the custumer is buying, they are probably more worried about when their next break is. BUT, you feeling of awkwardness is completely understandable, but it's no different then going to the store and buying a box of tampons :)

I completely understand, I always been the same way. Have a friend or so go with you. I play roller derby and the outfits we wear are a bit crazy, so there was an adult store that sold a bunch of tights and underwear that we could use for games, and I felt really comfortable having a friend go in with and buy something so that way I wont feel like everyone is staring at me.

I felt the same way until I just did it one day. I'm 18 as well and I am not the type to walk into a sex shop. I'm a quiet, shy, smart girl.
Me and my best friend did it together. it was a little embarrassing but you just have to keep in mind that the people working their aren't going to be looking at you weird. THEY'RE the ones that work selling sex toys.

yeah i think it's embarrassing also, I don't want people knowing what i'm into! I don't have a credit card either so i bought a visa gift card, you can get those at any grocery store or cvs and i used it online, problem solved.

I am having the same exact problem. I wanna buy one too but i dont want to spend alot of money on one and i dont want to be judged just cause i have one. Atleast if we use a sex toy we arent getting prego.

i worked at sex shop for a few months at first i was so shy to even sell them and after a few weeks it was normal. dont be shy anymore if u want just walk in and get it. we dont judge there i promise.

Just know that they are there for the same thing. Talk to other shoppers if you are up to it. They may know of "the best" one to get for first timers. As the other said, you can order online too.
