my periods usually gor for 6 days and i have had it for about a yr now but the last time i got it it went for 8. is this normal?? i just read that if you have a long one you might skip your next one. is this true? my periods are always roughly on time but somethimes 1/2 days late. what do you think?

You are normal. Menstrual cycles are not set in stone. I would become worried if you were bleeding for two weeks.
You don't lose more eggs if you have a long period. I have no idea why someone would think that.
Have a period that is somewhat longer than usual is normal.
I doubt you will skip your next period, but it may be lighter.
yes big periods can lead to missing one since you lose more eggs
