Yeast infection and on period.?!

Question: Yeast infection and on period.?
I have an appt at the Dr.'s office today for more birth control and I want something for the yeast infection but I don't want to be checked just because im on my period and I don't want anything up there right now. Will they give me the Diflucan pill (for yeast infections) if I explain my situation. Its my regular doctors office. I've had yeast infections b4 so I know the symptoms well enough to know what it is.

Answers:

If you have had these symptoms before, you don't need a doctor to make sure its a yeast infection, you can just buy some over the counter medications for it. Many women mistake other infections for yeast infections and that's why they recommend seeing a doctor but if you already know what it is like you don't have to talk to your doctor. Also, yeast infections are caused by a pH imbalance and this, for many women, is corrected when they get their period. So, I would wait until after your period to see if it is still there. Then buy Monistat.
