Question: How do I know when my period is ending?

Hi, this is an awkward and embarrassing question for me to ask, so bear with me. My period started on Sunday, so this is the 4th day. They usually last about 5 or 6 days for me, but this one is different. I had REALLY bad cramps the first day, and mild ones on the second morning, which is normal for me, but now the cramps are coming back, which is not normal, and it's almost right in between mild and excruciating. Is that a sign of it ending? If not, what are all of the signs? Also today I started feeling nauseous, which, again, is not normal. I'm getting impatient with this, and I just want it to be over so I can stop suffering! Can anyone help me?

Don't ever be embarassed! It's such a great question, and I'm sure there are tons of other girls/women who have the same question!

You know it is ending, when your flow of blood is not heavy like in the beginning. You may just have a couple spots or a very light flow. Also, you may not have any flow for a while, just a brownish tinted discharge (just from the blood).

Sometimes cramps do come back, but they should be gone soon.
