Could someone help me, i've got a question about the contraceptive pill?!

Question: Could someone help me, i've got a question about the contraceptive pill?
I'm on the contraceptive pill that you take for 21 days, and have 7 days off. Although, i've taken 2 more days than i was supposed to, therefore my period has been delayed. If i do not take the pills for the next 7 days, will i have my period? Thankyou. x

Answers:

You probably will, it is technically not your official period though it is only a response from the withdrawal of the hormones, which is why if you miss a couple pills you will start bleeding. Nothing wrong with doing that though, I do it sometimes when I need my period to hold off for a little bit longer. If you period does not happen, do not worry. Sometimes it can just be very delayed or it just might not happen for a reason other than pregnancy. Just make sure to take your pills again after the 7 days whether you bleed or not! If you don't then you'll be sure to bleed the following month and will probably have some light spotting throughout the month.

I would just skip the inactive and keep on taking the active pills. Eventhough you might have spotting, you wont have a period this cycle but you will the next. Its perfectly fine to skip a period like that once in a while. But If you want to keep skipping that I would get on the pills that only give you 3 periods a year.

Im on BC pills too and have done it

There's no need to worry about being perfect anymore. It turns out that no one is at www.perfectlynot.com
