what causes tampons to leak?!

Question: What causes tampons to leak?
as much as they absorb why do they even leak, maybe i should reinvent the tampon

Answers:

having it in too long!

Tampons can only hold so much, once saturated they can't hold any more - thus they leak. That's why if a tampon leaks within an hour a woman is supposed to use a higher absorbency.

No need to reinvent tampons, we have menstrual cups that don't leak like tampons so no problem.

If they are not far enough, they can leak.
It also depends on your flow.
A regular or slim can only take a slim or regular, not a heavy.
Your period might go up and down, might have less blood one month, but more blood on the next.
It's nice to wear a pad underneath in case that happens.
hope it helps :)

a river of period blood followed by blood alligators that eat through the cotton in your tampon causing them to leak. its a simple solution: stick beef jerky in with your tampons and the alligators will no longer eat at the cotton

the peoples republic of china

I agree, you should. They leak because they can't hold anymore, the absorbency level isn't very good with tampons.

Your period being to heavy for the tampon or having the tampon in too long.
