Question: Help me pleaseeee!!! i think i might have a bladder infection??!!?
soo i was reading on the internet the signs of a urinary track infection and bladder infection and i think i have it! :( i have to pee often and wen i have to pee its like, i have to go NOW! also, its kinda painful after i pee and only pee very little at a time:( these r all symptoms they described....im really worried. im a young teen and i dont wanna go to a doctor and get a pelvic exam or something...do u have to get a pelvic exam if u might have a bladder infection? is there any other way to check? and do u kno of any home remedies that can help stop bladder infections? please, any advice is appreciated!
p.s. this thing seems to be on and off. its like, i have these symptoms for a day or 2, then it stops, and 3 weeks later, i feel it again....what is it then? wouldnt a bladder infection continue all the time...?? soo confused:(

Yes it sounds like a UTI...your body might be trying to fight it off by itself hence the on and off again symptoms.

If you have a regular doctor, you may be able to call his office and ask if you could just leave a urine sample without having to see the doctor. If you need to see a doctor they will just get a urine sample and examine your abdomen...no pelvic necessary unles the urine comes back negative and they might think it is a vaginal infection/

Cranberry juice can help prevent urinary tract infections, but it isn't the best way to cure it once you have one. From my experience, and I've had UTI's several times, you need to go to the doc. They will test your urine and listen to your symptoms. There is no pelvic exam required; at least I've never had one for this. Women are more prone to UTI's than men because our "openings" are so close in proximity. I can't really say why this is coming back for you...but one cause (don't take this as TMI) is wiping yourself the wrong way. If you go #2 and wipe yourself from back to front, you are spreading the bacteria from your anus to your urethra (where the pee comes out.) Obviously, I don't know why you keep having this problem, just a thought because it is one major cause. Get to the doc, though, because I had a bladder infection turn into a kidney infection once and it will absolutely in the top 5 most painful things I have ever experienced! Take care. :)
