how do i stay healthy while on my period?!


Question: How do i stay healthy while on my period?
i got my period yesterday for the first time and i did a LOT of research.many articles say that its good to stay healthy but how do i do that? like what vitamins do i take. what foods do i eat. what kinds of excersies can i do? by the way, im 13, if that matters at all

Hey I am 13 as well and have had my period for a while now. Number one thing_ DRINK lot and LOTS of water it will help with everything from acne to cramps! Exercise at least 30 mins a day like walking or biking something fun. Crunches may strengthen your body but it will probably make your cramps worse. Eat healthy. If you eat chips and brownies you will feel like crap. Eat stuff like veggies, fruits, and lean meats! Congrats on getting it! Take something like midol if your cramps are bad but water should help!

Well, Do some stretches not to much, Do some sit ups push up or you know the basics, Usually when girls have heavier flows the flow gets a little light by exercising, Make sure you eat a lot of fruits and proteins!! I know it sucks to have your periods. Make sure you change your pad often especially if its a heavier flow!
