my friend had to get that shot today but they pt it in her butt, and now she says it hurts to sit down, why do they do this?

BECAUSE OF A LARGE MUSCLE
you can get it in your butt, hip, or arm ... it needs to go into a muscle and yeah it does hurt like a ***** ... I always got it in my arm though
