What im experiencing is this normal or could it mean something? Should i stay on!

Question: What im experiencing is this normal or could it mean something? Should i stay on my bc or get off for now?
had my normal regular period for about a week and then missed a whole week of my birth control afterwards. During the week of not taking my birth control i had sex with my partner and he did not pull out. I slightly started bleeding again but then it stopped. I’m back to my normal birth control taking it every night but I have a white to yellowish discharge now. I have cramps occasionally and heart burn too. I’ve been eating a lot and just been more emotional than normal. Ever since my missed week and even now on my birth control cycle i am having these symptoms. Has anyone ever had this before also? What could it mean?
i took a pregnancy test but it said that results will not show until five days before my period and on my birth control cycle it says that i am not suppose to start until one more week and two days. should i stop taking my bc until then and take another test or should i keep taking the pills and see what happens?

Answers:

I don't know if you are pregnant, but I do know that going off your pills and then starting them off-schedule (on schedule would be waiting a month, and then starting them the day after your period like you're supposed to) can make you feel like crap.

Your hormone levels are approaching their lowest point right after your period. When you begin taking your birth control pills, they provide a low, constant dose of hormones that keeps your hormone level from reaching its lowest point (because this would trigger the next part of the cycle: rising hormones). This effectively pauses your cycle with your hormones at a low level.

If you don't start the pills right away after your period, your hormone levels start to rise. Then, when you start your pills, you add an extra dose of hormones on top of this, leaving you with a higher hormone level than you would normally experience at any point in your cycle and an exaggerated form of PMS.

Stop taking your pills, wait a cycle, and start taking them again right after your period. You need to take them as directed or they won't work properly.

In the mean time, use another birth control, and in a couple weeks take a pregnancy test.
