free contraception on the NHS?!

Question: Free contraception on the NHS?
Is the pill free for people in the uk? im over 18, does age matter? what else is free?

Answers:

Yes the pill is free, to women of all ages, as is the contracteptive injection, implant and coil, as well as numerous others. Either book an appt with your local GP surgery or a Family Planning Centre. Ive always had my contraception sorted by my GP but when they were booked up when i desperately needed my implant removing and a coil fitted, they referred me to my local Family Planning Centre, where i had it done.

Yes the pill is free and no age doesn't matter. All contraception is free from a GP except condoms but I believe you can get them free from your local family planning clinic or gum clinic.

Yes, it is from the GP... probably everywhere else too.

However, my gran got my grandad to pick up my pills and the pharmacist charged him £2.80!?

Yes the pill is free in the UK. You can also get free condoms from Family Planning Clinics and most GP family planning nurses.

yes.
