Female health advice for a female problem......?!
Question: Female health advice for a female problem......?
She's been exercising 3 to 4 times a day for an hour each. And she also counts her calories and ate a lot of eggs for some time as her dinner. But see eats regular now, So you can probably see why she hasn't had her period, but she stopped the heavy exercising after that. So I need your advice and answers.
Answers:
since alot of change has been going on in her body, i think the lateness in her period is due to that change. I wouldnt worry about 6 weeks. Periods get irregular for various reasons and most of the time its beyond our reach. If she's really concerned, she should go to the doctor. Tell her to take it easy on the exercising too
Rapid weight loss is actually a very normal cause for a disrupted menstrual cycle. I'm sure you know periods are governed by hormones, which get completely thrown out of whack not just with the weight loss but what sounds like at least borderline hypergymnasia. The best thing she can do is get regulated with her body. Exercise a few times a week (not a day), eat balanced and healthy, and I stress balanced, taking vitamins based on diet (calcium has been shown to affect periods), that sort of thing. Consulting an OB/Gyn if she can would probably be good as well, prescription hormones and certain types of birth control are really good at normalizing the female body (some even help clear skin!).
No matter what, it will take time. She put her body through a lot of stress and it needs to acclimate itself to the new her.
