Question: I had an abnormal pap and the doc gave me two options what should I do?

My pap test read "atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance". My doc said I can wait 6 months for another pap or do a biopsy. What should I do? Also what could be the causes? I think I had a slight yeast infection when it was done and I had a flu with a fever. Could this have affected my results?

Answers:

Get it over with and get a biopsy.

HPV is the cause and you want a biopsy.
