My pads are causing irritaion...?!

Question: My pads are causing irritaion...?
My pads have been causing me to be a bit itchy. I don't know if it's because I run a lot or if it's the material. Can you be allergic to your pads? Is there a way to help the itchiness go away? I've been using the same pad since I started my period, but I never really noticed the itchiness. Would tampons be any better since I'm a runner? I'm starting to think that it could be a rash but I could also be allergic. What could it be? Thanks for the help!

Answers:

you could be allergic, it could be a contact irritation if there is a lot of moisture hanging around in there from sweating and if you aren't changing it often, try a tampon and see what you think. I really prefer them, they keep you cleaner and you can't feel them like you can a pad.

I'm a little confused. You've been using the same brand of pad since you started you're period? If that's the case, this happens to me too. Something in the pads are causing this. Just try changing the brand and if that doesn't work just try to only use them during sleep.

If you've been using the same PAD, like only one, since the start of you're period, you need to change your pad. You can't wear the same pad the whole time, it's unhealthy.

There are pads that are "organic". I've bought them at Wholefoods. My kid used to be allergic to whatever was in pampers and I think pads are made of the same stuff. Ask the druggist if there are any that don't have perfumes. I know you can buy the non scented kind but I don't know if they are organic.

If u r a runner, it could be sweat causing the itch. I would try tampons. At least while u r working out or running
