Is there something wrong with me..?!

Question: Is there something wrong with me..?
Well, I'm on my 36th day and I still haven't got my period. I'm 13, nearly 14 and I've had my period for around 2 years. I don't even feel like I'm getting my period. I'm not on the pill or anything so I don't know what's happening. Two months ago my period was early (24 days) and last month it was early too (21 days). Could it have something to do with that? I hear that some girls lose their period for a few months then it comes back, so is that what could be happening to me? Thanks.

Assuming you are not sexually active since you didn't mention it and that would be an obvious answer, so..... in the first couple years it is "normal" to have irregular periods. It is also "normal" for some individuals; some people just have irregular cycles their whole life for no apparent reason. There also other causes such as: being too thing or too heavy; either can cause fluctuations in cycle or a complete loss of your period due to abnormal amounts of fat in your body or abnormal hormonal levels. Stress can also cause your cycle to be off, primarily late, but also early. Different medications can cause this aswell because once again they can mess with your hormones. Since hormones are significant to your cycle an endocrine system disease or abnormality can cause disrutptions or irregular cycles.

Bottom line, there is nothing "wrong" with YOU, BUT you should definately see a doctor incase it is hormonal (endocrine) which can be very dangerous, or if the problem is related to stress, weight, or medication your doctor may need totake steps to correct the problem.

Oh, almost forgot - could also be related to cysts, fibroids, cancer, or other ailments of the cervical/uterine/vaginal area. So definately go see a doctor.

Born with diabetes - have to stay on top of health issues for my own safety.

Sometimes if you are regularly active or very thin it might stop for a while because you might not have the propped amount of body fat. I'm sure there's nothing wrong. Just give it time. :)

It can take a few years to regulate.
Mine was wildly irregular until I gave birth, at 24.
(I had my first period at 12.)
Not to worry.
The NORMAL range is anywhere from 20-40 days.

ur just starting ur period... ur irregular right now but wait a few years, ull probably be regular

dont worry every priod happens differnt some times longer or shorter dont wory were all differnt and have bodys so it wont always happen every month maybe in ur next u will

Your period has not become regular yet ( hence why it sometimes is early ) so dont sweat it. It will come in due time dont worry! and i really dont think your period will leave you for a few months, but if it does, so what?! It will come, just a few more months without it right?! and its ALL FINE AND HEALTHY! periods arent supposed to be regular yet! I'm 13 too and mine aren't! my doctor told me all this but if you really are worried and this goes on for a while then maybe ask about going on birth control? It regulated your periods ( thats why i'm about to go on it ) and you can get it for free. But just remember not to stress ( stress can actually make your period come LATE! ) and be happy to be free for a while! Just carry around tampons ( or pads which ever you use ) with you incase it comes somewhere other than home. Good luck to you i'm going to bed lol :)
