tampons.. help! need some good advise?!

Fist of all, tampons are a big decision. Don't use them until you are absolutely sure you are ready. Read the packaging that comes in the box of tampons. They instruct you on precisely how to use them safely. They even have diagrams. But basically (WASH YOUR HANDS), get into a comfortable position for inserting it.. Either sitting on the toilet with your knees apart, or standing with one leg on the toilet.. Insert the tampon at a slight angle (toward your back) into your vagina (hold on to the *grips* in about the middle of the tampon). Stop when your fingers touch your body. Then push the plunger all the way. Remove the plunger. You should not be able to feel the tampon and certainly no discomfort. If it doesn't feel comfortable pull it out, and try again. It's normal to do it a few times before you get it right the first time. That's about it. I do hope this helps. Don't be afraid. Relax and give it a try. Good luck and best wishes. :)

really depends which tampons you're using... does it have a plastic/cardboard applicator?
read the instructions. try using your finger to find out where the tampon should go. there's really only one place for it to go and it shouldn't hurt.
