you can't die from putting one in wrong, it'll just be extremely uncomfortable. but you can die from leaving one in for too long so if you can avoid tampons all together, go for it, but if not, u just push it up inside of you till it's flush with your body and when you're ready to pull it out, that's what the strings for
You can't really die, but you can create rashes if you wear the wrong one, and you know when it's right when it collects the liquids you produce.
