Pain in chest and shoulders?!

Question: Pain in chest and shoulders?
I have some severe pain in my chest that extends into my shoulders and back. It gets worse when I drink water or eat anything. Also, it's a little better when I lay down but not by much. It's a burning kind of pain.
I think it's indigestion, but I've felt that before and this is much much worse and I wanted to make sure it's nothing too bad because I'm 33 weeks pregnant (and at risk for preterm labor).

Answers:

it could be different things. if its only one shoulder it depends on what side it is.. if its the right side its possible that your gallbladder is acting up. if its your left shoulder, it could be your spleen or that you have a hiatal hernia (when a little bit of your stomach protrudes into your chest) since you mentioned that you are pregnant, its possible that the weight on your belly is putting some stress on your shoulder and chest. it could be that your diaphragm is being pushed which is very painful, or it could also be your gallbladder. try an antacid after you eat to see if its your stomach or intestines. try to remember what you eat when you get the pain (if its acidy or fatty its possibly your gallbladder). if it hurts when you push your left side under your ribs it could be your spleen, have you had mono ever? or in the last 4 years?

have your doctor check it out, and remember any SHARP, CRUSHING OR THROBBING pain in your chest needs to be checked out right away.
i hope this helps some.
