I have to work an 8 hour shift tomorrow but...?!

Question: I have to work an 8 hour shift tomorrow but...?
I work in a grocery store, stocking shelves, moving things... The thing is, my period just started and I get terrible cramps for 2 days, sometimes so bad that I throw up or pass out, my flow is very very heavy also and I can't find anything that helps with the pain, my doctor gave me a prescription for some pills but I ran out of those and I won't be able to get them before my shift tomorrow.
How do I handle this??
I'll only call in sick if I absolutely have too...
What can I do????

Answers:

try taking Midol,or tylenol to help with the pain, DO NOT use advil,it increases blood flow and will make your period even heavier.
Try a hot bath in the morning and put a heating pad or hot water bottle on your tummy while you get ready for work if you cant call in sick. Take the hot water bottle to work with you too,you can use it on breaks to help with the pain

if its still really bad i think you should call in sick because you'll be no good at packing shelves. Just make sure you don't go shopping or anything. Next time plan ahead.

do you really want to faint and have to tell people "don't worry I just have my period"

Take advil or aleve. Drink hot tea, and take a warm bath before you go to work.
good luck!

you'll live
