Answers:

Yes your mum is right under eating slows your metabolism (metabolism is what burns calories) so eating 2 meals means you burn less calories if u eat smaller meals every 3-4 hours you burn more calories. Drink lots of water to keep hydrated and wash out fat literally. Keep motivated by putting up a pic of u skinnier or a skinny person. Eat more protein and oily fish as both help loosing weight and drink no fizzy drinks just fruit drinks, white/green tea and lots of water at least 1 litre or more a day.
Also go on google.com and type in bmi calculator and click that fill in the details and it will tell u if your overweight underweight or normal. Swap full fat milk for semi skimmed, try using the stairs instead of the elevator and walk more if you can. Good Luck :)

If you are truly exercising and eating healthy, there may be an underlying issue. There are many conditions of the thyroid that can cause a slow metabolism, such as Hashimoto's Thyroiditis or another form of hypothyroidism. You should see an endocrinologist and have a TSH (blood test to determine thyroid function). Good Luck.

How is that possible? do you eat large amounts during those 2 times?? or are you tall and muscular? if not, then go see a doctor as soon as possible! there is a disease I think, but I've forgotten the name.

Best wishes/Miranda
