How can I gain more weight and keep it on?!

Question: How can I gain more weight and keep it on?
I'm 15 years old, 5 ft, and somewhere between 93-96 lbs. I have always been thin, but I would like to change that. I know my metabolism is probably really fast, but being thin isn't benefiting me. My doctor said I should be heavier, and I want to look better as well. As much as I try to eat, I don't gain weight. If I do, I'll lose it all a day later. This is really bothering me because as much as I try, I am unable to reach 100 and keep the weight. I'm tired of being this thin. Even though I am petite, I am often mistaken for anorexic which becomes even more annoying, and I do not look anorexic either. I am not sure how to gain weight and be healthier, someone please help or give advice. It is much appreciated.
Thank you!?

Hi,

It may be very frustrating to have people mistake you for an anorexic person. However, your goal should be to be in the best of health. Here are some steps you can take to move into a healthy and wholesome body:

1. Exercise everyday so that your muscles get larger and more defined.
2. Add more Olive oil to your food. Olive oil adds calories, but they are good for your health. Also add Avocados to your daily diet.
3. Eat more complex carbs such as brown pasta or brown rice.
4. Add more of these to your diet - lentils, beans, peas,
5. Eat three wholesome meals every day.
6. Go for a thorough checkup so that you will know if you have thyroid issues that are preventing you from gaining weight.

Hope this helps.
