Should I go on rollercoasters if I'm on my period?!

Question: Should I go on rollercoasters if I'm on my period?
I got my period today, but I'm going to a theme park with my friends tomorrow. I'm 14, and this is my third period.
I've used tampons on my last periods, and they worked fine, but today I started using a menstrual cup instead. I think it would work okay, but does anyone know for certain?

Also, I've got really bad cramps (which is my main worry), and I'm going to be out of the house at 8 in the morning and back at midnight, if I start getting cramps then it will be torture! Do you think I should still go, because I'm starting to have second thoughts.

Thank you xxx

Answers:

Do what you feel comfortable doing if you have second thoughts then you probably shouldn't do it.I really like to rest when I am on mine. It also depends how intense the coaster is I would go for the milder rides if you do go at all. Drinking water helps cramps. But when in doubt use Tylenol!

Hope I helped

Menstrual cups are great but if you're new to it... I would advise against it. I've had a few disasters with the cup because I was new at it and I didn't quite know when to empty it. The more you use it the better off you'll be but if you aren't going to be near a comfortable bathroom... go with what you know.

Go! If you're not totally confident with using a menstrual cup yet, you should use tampons that day instead, but don't miss out just because of your period. Ask your parents if you can take advil or something like that to relieve your cramps.

Never-mind the menstrual cup, you should not go on any roller coasters with bad cramps. You'll feel 10 times worse.

Yes go and have fun. I've never used a menstrual cup so if you're not sure about it use the tampons.

u should use tampons on a rollor coaster blood can spill from the cup

You should be absolutly fine! I went to a water park and a theme park when i was on my period and i was fine. You just have to make sure to prevent leaks and if your worried about cramps maybe just take some paracetamol or something with you :) Have fun!x

take a ibuprofen Just before you leave and take another in the times it says take the next one ( Just says you've had a illness and need to take something for it, if you don't want to take hem in front of your friends, or say you need the bathroom and do it there) .I haven't had the cup before, this is because you never know when they will leak, and when they leak its massive, i stick to tampon with a towel to catch if i leak,I would use a tampon on this day, just in case. You don't want a disaster to happen and you wont have any spare trousers. The tampon will ast a while and when its full the blood will go onto the pannty liner so it will be fine, would you rather risk a big leakage form the cup (form all day) or a tampon which can easily be changed, quickly and if its leaks can be caught in the sanitary towel. A leak form the cup will not be soaked up in the towel, it will over flow it. But wither way put a sanitary towel in your pants to stop a leakage if it happens ok, that way you wont get blood through your trousers, that would be embarrassing. have fun!
