worried about my mother, any help appreciated..?!

Question: Worried about my mother, any help appreciated..?
hello, so this morning my mum told me she had been suffering in the past few weeks from chest pain, but last night she collapsed in the bathroom from the pain, i was just wondering what it could be, she has an appointment to go see her GP on monday, so please dont tell me to take her or whatever, i'd just like to hear any opinions of what it could be. could it be stress?
thanks in advance. xx

Could be any one of a million things depending on where the pain is and what sort of pain it is. It's best not to look through medical dictionaries or anything over the weekend or you'll drive yourself mad worrying that it's something life-threatening when it's more than likely something simple like an infection or something that's easily cured.

I'd advise that unless the pain gets much worse or she collapses again wait until Monday to see what the GP says. If she gets worse over the weekend get the doctor out or if it's really bad ring 999.

Most of all, don't worry until you know there's something to worry about. There's no point in making yourself ill too. Your Mum should be proud of you, you're obviously a very caring daughter.

Life.

Chest pain especially one that makes you collapse shouldn't be ignored...it could be nothing like indigestion but if it happens again do not hesitate to call 999, they're very good and understand if it's a false alarm...they'd rather they were called to nothing than something serious :)

My Dad has been a paramedic for more years than I care to remember x
