Though I'm not sexually active, is there still any reason to visit gynecolo!
Question: Though I'm not sexually active, is there still any reason to visit gynecologist soon?
I've had the HPV shots, don't believe there's any ovarian cancer or patterns of reproductive abnormalities in my family, etc. so I was just assuming until I've lost my virginity there's not necessarily a reason for me to go there.
Just looking for your opinions, thanks in advance.

It's always a good idea to be on top of your reproductive health, whether you're sexually active right now or not. Get used to it now and it won't be so uncomfortable when it does become necessary.
Its good to go at least once a year even if you're not sexually active. If you start having sex, you need to go more often. Its also good to go so that if any problems come up you can just call your doctor and ask.
It's always a good thing to go and get checked out. But once you turn 21 (at least, that's how it is where I live), you're supposed to go see one every year to have a pap smear.
You don't really need to go until you start having adult problems. (pregnancy and vaginal issues) Then again, I'm not a virgin and my parents still won't let me go!
I Dont Think You Should Go To The Gynecologist If Nothing Is Wrong And You Are Not Sexually Active. I Went When I Was Still A Virgin And The Pap Smear Was Very Painful.
If it ain't broke--don't fix it is a very good saying. You are quite right.
