I just started birth control for treatment of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
I am on Paxil too and have been feeling relieved of depression for months, but since I took my first birth control pill at 7 pm tonight I can't stop crying and everything is making me sad. I feel depressed and I am crying like a faucet.
Do you think it is just a coincidence or because of the birth control? Will this go away ? it's like eerything I'm worried/upset/unhppy about has hit me like a sledgehammer

Your body may just be getting used to the hormone in the pill. If it continues for more than a week, definitely talk with your doctor. If you have immediate concerns call your pharmacist.
This is probably a coincidence because it takes several hours for the hormones in the birth control to enter the blood stream, so they might have JUST entered the blood stream.
