Any of you ladies suffer from ovulation pain?!

Question: Any of you ladies suffer from ovulation pain?
After about 10 months of suffering from intense pain in and around my ovary area in the middle of every month, I finally got the diagnosis from an emergency doctor that I actually suffer from ovulation pain!.
Went through all these urine tests, blood tests, kidneys, bladder and ovary scans for about 7 months and the drs and specialists at the hospital could not find anything wrong with me.

I had stumbled across a description about 'ovulation pain' online one day after trying to research where this pain is coming from and whats causing it.
I never suggested anything about it to the Drs as I assumed it probably wasn't that what was causing the pain because they would have said already...
but a trip down to the emergency doctors the other day - everything finally came to a head!. Being told it was simply just ovulation pain I have been suffering from.
I couldnt actually believe I went through all that shite (excuse my language) to find out it was just something as simple as that! - though i did have a gut feeling it was after reading up on it...

Sooo.... my question is, I asked if theres any 'cure' for it.. but apparently there isn't, I suppose its just like period pain (though for me, even more intense!), everytime you get it just have to take paracetomal or something.. but do any of you know any more about it?, how do you deal with it?

Tell me your stories or if you're willing to give me some advice it would be good!

Answers:

I always get cramps when I'm ovulating. They feel like period cramps but they come early and they're not as strong. I don't know if Midol would work or anything or even birth control but it's something to look into. I've only taken Midol once for period pain and it didn't work but my birth control worked wonders when I got on it. Before that even I would take Motrin and that would help a little bit.

Have you tried a heating pad when it starts up? Drink plenty of water and maybe exercise and that might help as well.
